Season Ticket Sales Up

Wednesday have announced that season ticket sales are already up on the same period last season - thanks to a fine end to the season from Paul Sturrock's men.

The club have announced season ticket sales for the 2006/2007 campaign have increased by 11 per cent compared to the same period last season. 13 per cent of those sales have gone to new season ticket holders.

Owls Chief Executive Kaven Walker told the official SWFC site: 'The sales are very encouraging at this stage and I would like to thank the fans who have already bought their tickets for 2006-07. Renewing season ticket holders have until June 17th to take advantage of the additional discount available to them and I would encourage supporters to buy their tickets as soon as possible.'

The increase follows a promising final flourish to the 2005/2006 season which saw the Owls secure Championship safety with two games left to spare, and finish the season in a respectable 19th position.

In the final nine games of the season Wednesday lost just one game - the form of a top of the table side pushing for the play-offs rather than one fighting against the drop to League One. Five victories came from those nine games with four draws along the way.

Existing season ticket holders have until 17th June to renew their season ticket at discounted price. Childrens season ticket's start at just £99, with Adult season tickets starting at just £303. For More information visit the official SWFC site at www.swfc.co.uk or call 0870 999 1867.
