Owls Players Learn Their Fate

Owls boss Paul Sturrock will decide who will be staying at Hillsborough next season as he holds talks with five out-of-contract players today.

Sturrock will hold one-to-one meetings with Lee Bullen, David Lucas, Jon-Paul McGovern, Drissa Diallo and Richie Partridge at Middlewood training ground today to decide their fate.

The Owls boss left the meeting until the end of the season so the players could prove themselves, and is unlikely to reveal the names of the players leaving the club until later this week.

The Scot revealed he wants to trim the squad for next season, and is likely to offload a number of players to help with funds for new players for the 2006/2007 season which gets under way in the first week of August.

The on-loan David Graham and Craig Rocastle may also return to Hillsborough after their loan spells expire to discuss their future with the club.

Vital Sheffield Wednesday will bring you ALL the latest news about who will be staying and who will be leaving - so make sure you keep checking the latest news!

no chance, dont think Rocastle will do either even though hes done well at Huddersfield. We should get a decent price for him though see as we only signed him this season. 3 year contract wasnt it? Diallo, Partridge to go aswell, and maybe paddy collins?
