Owls' Bid For Stoke's Soares

Out-of-favour Stoke City midfielder Tom Soares has been linked with a two-month loan move to the Championship with Wednesday this week.

Soares has struggled to break into the City first team in the Premier League so far this season, only making a real impact in the League Cup with Stoke.

And Tony Pulis is all set to ship the former Crystal Palace man to Hillsborough this week for a two-month loan spell with the Owls according to a report from the Mirror.

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has already announced his desire to bring two new loan players in to bolster his out-of-form squad.

Soares could well arrive in time for Wednesday's crucial Championship clash against high-flying West Brom this Saturday.

This is a massive moment for laws, these 2 supposed signings have to be bang on. yes soares is a good striker and you might get back in my good books

Smiggy, Soares is a midfielder. Anyway, I hope this rumour is true, very good player, the type of player we need in midfield, althetic, strong and quick.

according to the Sheffield Star this morning, Laws is focusing his attention on loaning a Premier League striker (sound familiar??). the 2nd loan player would most likely be a championship midfielder, IF the premier league club were to subsidise this strikers wages. The 2 stories dont seem to match, but i just hope one of them is true!
