'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Modest Win For Young Owls

Wednesday's Under 18s nudged out Huddersfield Town at Middlewood Road, to record their first win since August.

A solitary strike from speed-star Nathan Modest was enough to gain the Owls all three points.

Wednesday have also drawn Sunderland (a team they lost 6-0 to this season) in the first round of the FA Youth Cup. The game will be played at Hillsborough.

Academy youngsters Jack Barnett, Nick Wood, Max Wragg, Liam Palmer, Nathan Modest, Callum Harrison, Sam Eckhardt and Charlie Tunnard have all been included in Wednesday's Reserve squad to face Derby County at Stocksbridge later today. Kick off at the Look Local is 2pm.
