Sturrock Gets The Chop At Argyle

Former Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock has been removed from his position as manager of Plymouth Arglye after a poor run of results.

Sturrock will remain at the club, having been handed a 'business support role' at Home Park, but Paul Mariner will take charge of the Pilgrims until further notice.

Argyle have won just four games this season and sit second bottom of the Championship, looking like one of the bookmaker's favourites for relegation to League 1

But the Plymouth board have acted quickly in making a change in management as they look to move up the table sooner rather than later.

Sturrock rejoined Plymouth in 2007, but his second stint as boss proved to be anything but as successful of his first.

I always liked Sturrock but if we do get rid of BL please let's not have KPS back, I'm not at all sure that would be a step in the right direction. Good luck KPS, hope you find something soon.
