Vote For YOUR Player Of The Season!!

With the 2005/2006 season now firmly at a close, Vital Sheffield Wednesday asks YOU to decide who your SWFC player of the season is.

The Owls wrapped up Championship survival with two games to spare and finished the season in 19th position - two above manager Paul Sturrock's target.

The squad has been vast and varied, but we want to you who YOU think was the SWFC player of the season.

Graham Coughlan has been many fans favourites with some determined performances in the centre of the Owls defence. Richard Wood has also sparkled at the side of Coughlan before his injury.

Would the Owls have survived had it not been for the goals of Deon Burton and Marcus Tudgay? The pair have made a great difference since joining the club in January and have formed a formidable partnership in attack.

Northern Ireland international Chris Brunt was rumoured to have been scouted by top Championship and Premiership clubs after his array of fine goals - one of which won the goal of the year on 'Soccer Night Extra'.

Wednesday club captain Lee Bullen has now player in every position for the Owls after filling in for David Lucas at Millwall - a match which the Owls won 1-0. He also showed fine form towards the end of the season which earnt him a one year extension on his contract.

Whoever you think should be the SWFC player of the season for 2005/2006 - use your vote on Vital Sheffield Wednesday. Just use the vote box to the right hand side of the article to cast your vote. The winner will be announced on Monday, so check back for the results!
