'If It's Football, It's Vital'

From Rangers To...Wednesday

Proof that you shouldn't believe everything you read was present in the News Of The World today - with the paper reporting Wednesday are chasing Walter Smith as manager.

Rumours of the next Owls boss have already been in overdrive, with scores of managers being mentioned to take one of the toughest jobs in English football at Hillsborough.

But this latest one's the best, with the NOTW reporting that Rangers' financial position could mean Smith will be looking for a move away from the Scottish giants.

The same Scottish giants that are chasing the SPL title and should be playing Champions League football next season as a result.

Smith was, of course, linked with the Wednesday job back in the Premier League days, but the Scot opted to join Everton instead.

The option of making it second time lucky won't be as appealing this time around, with cash-strapped Wednesday looking to avoid relegation to League 1.

It's a good rumour, and I don't think this one will be beaten.

Nice one, News Of The World!
