Wood Completes Sky Blues Move
Former Wednesday defender Richard Wood has made his switch to Championship rivals Coventry City a permanent one this week.
The Wakefield-born defender had moved to the Ricoh Arena on a loan deal recently but has made his move to City permanent this week, signing a three-and-a-half year contract with the club.
The 24-year-old failed to agree a new deal with the Owls earlier this season, and with his contract due to run out at the end of the current campaign, the Owls have cashed in on their former academy product.
The fee is undisclosed, although it's believed to be between £300,000 and £500,000 to release Wood from his contract early.
Wood has already been given the captain's armband at Coventry, with boss Chris Coleman having chased the defender since his arrival at the club.
