Posh Clash In The Balance

Posh Clash In The Balance

Saturday's crunch Championship clash between Wednesday and relegation rivals Peterborough United is in the balance following the recent heavy snowfall.

The Owls are currently monitoring the wintery conditions around Hillsborough ahead of the proverbial 'relegation six pointer' against the Posh.

As with the whole of the country, Sheffield has received heavy snowfall in the last few days.

And altohugh the forecast for further snowfall is unclear, the freezing temperatures could make safety around the stadium an issue.

The club is confident that the pitch will be fine for play, with Hillsborough enjoying the luxury of undersoil heating.

But it could be the slippery conditions on the roads and paths around Hillsborough that cause problems for the thousands of supporters on the day of the game.

A further update will be provided by the club tomorrow, Thursday.
