Burnley Keen On Laws

Former Wednesday boss Brian Laws appears to be the front-runner in the chase for the vacant managerial hot-seat at Premier League side Burnley.

Laws is leading the way alongside Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll, but it's thought the Clarets are keen on appointing Laws, and will give him a second interview this week.

It's not the first time the Turf Moor club have come in for Laws - they tried to talk to him during his time at S6 before Owen Coyle was appointed manager.

It looked as though O'Driscoll was all set for the position earlier today, but Laws now seems to be the favourite for the position, just a month after leaving Hillsborough.

He left Wednesday in the relegation places in the Chsmpionship and enduring a roller-coaster time during his stint as Owls boss.

I hope he gets it. Good luck to him. Top bloke.

Fair play to him if he gets it! Nice bloke and a decent manager too, will probably do a decent job with a bit of money to play with, good luck to him.

Would be mental if we sacked him and he gets a job in the PL. Good luck to him though.

wow, this is a bizarre move by burnley!

Not really, they wanted him 2 half yrs ago before Coyle was appointed but we wouldnt let him go as we thought alot of him then and he was doing a very sound job... we just missed out on Play offs. How things change and people forget. I reckon he will do well.
