Charlton Maintain Sodje Interest

Charlton Athletic have not given up hope of taking Wednesday striker Akpo Sodje back to The Valley this season.

The League 1 promotion hopefuls took Sodje on loan earlier this season and are keen to bolster their attacking options with his return.

Sodje is out of contract at the end of the season but new Owls boss Alan Irvine could well see him as part of his plans as Wednesday battle against relegation, especially now that Jermaine Johnson has been sidelined for six weeks through injury.

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson told the South London Press that 'the deal is not dead yet' and that Addicks could well make a move before the close of the January transfer window.

Wednesday have already insisted that they won't allow Sodje to go out on loan again, but would consider a permanent move.
