Owls Linked With Pompey Target

Wednesday have been linked with a move to sign Zimbabwe full-back Onismor Bhasera from under the noses of Premier League side Portsmouth.

The left-back was thought to be ready for a deal with Pompey before the club's financial problems came to light and former boss Paul Hart got sacked.

And it's been reported that he's been on trial with Wednesday under new boss Alan Irvine at Middlewood Road this week.

The 23-year-old has also been a target of Championship rivals QPR this season following his performances for the Zimbabwe international side.

The former Kaizer Chiefs man was all set for a move to Loftus Road, despite the departure of boss Hart, just last week, and could still make the move to London.

But Wednesday are also thought to be in with a shout for his services before the close of the January transfer window.
