Sodje Signs For Charlton

Wednesday striker Akpo Sodje has signed for League 1 side Charlton Athletic on a half-season loan until the end of the season.

The former Port Vale man could well have kicked his last ball in the blue and white of the Owls, with the deal at Charlton taking him up to the end of his contract at S6.

Sodje joined Charlton earlier in the season on loan and impressed the London club enough to warrant a new deal before the close of the transfer window.

He was used as a second-half substitute in Wednesday's 2-1 success over Plymouth Argyle at the weekend.

Sodje will go straight into Charlton's squad to visit Walsall tomorrow night.

maybe we havent got the money to bring anybody in? especially as we have extended soares and varney loan deals.
Wednesdayforlife
we need something new especially with JJ being out. weve got no wingers!!!!!

Good luck Akpo. Loan window opens next week so might get someone in then. With him leaving it might free up a bit of cash.

A real shame and sad to see him go but with his injury rate it had to happen at some time. Hope he stays fit at Charlton and shows what a good striker he can be. Thanks for the memories Akpo!

i think that we need a centre back more than a winger supersibon. who do you suggest we get in for a winger?
Wednesdayforlife
i dont have any suggestions-lol, but id say that we definatley need a winger as we dont have any good wingers apart from jj who's been showing some form of late-esajas has been very very poor- the only winger i know that does'nt like to run with the ball and gray isant a winger anyone can see that!!!
