Owls Aim For Cup Semi-Final
Sheffield Wednesday Ladies FC are back in County Cup action this weekend as they aim to bag a semi-final spot with victory over Dinnington Town Ladies FC.
The Owls progressed in the competition thanks to an emphatic 17-0 success against Beighton Magpies last time out.
And they're looking to book a place against Doncaster Roves Belles in the last four of the cup competition.
Boss Liam Kelly said: 'The most pleasing thing last week was the professionalism and respect we showed to the opposition, and that was evident in the score line and performance, so we're expecting more of the same this week.'
elly was also quick to congratulate the players on their attitude in the training environment, and says he has a real selection headache this weekend.
'Training as been very good this week, the players have worked hard and produced some good quality,' he said.
'Any player not selected could feel disgruntled, but I think what we have now is a group of players who realise that the most important thing is Sheffield Wednesday and we are there for one another.'
Sarah Hobson is the only injury doubt for Wednesday with an ankle injury.
