'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Small Joins Owls

Owls boss Paul Sturrock has completed his first signing of the summer by bringing Milton Keynes Dons midfielder Wade Small to Hillsborough on a three-year deal, subject to a medical.

The 22-year-old will move to Hillsborough for an undisclosed fee, and is likely to fill the gap left by former fans favourite Jon-Paul McGovern, who was told he could leave the club after failing to secure a new contract.

Owls boss Paul Sturrock told the official site: 'I've seen Wade several times over the last couple of years and he's our type of signing. He is very quick, can play in a variety of positions offensively and has high potential. I hope he does very well for Sheffield Wednesday.'

Small came through the academy at the Dons and has made 99 appearances since making his league debut in October 2003 against Coventry City. He netted twelve times during his stay in Milton Keynes.

We might as well just wait till one of your guys starts scroring goals and then steal him. Who are you guys signing by the way? 10 points is a lot to catch up...

he has pace, which is key at the moment, cos we lack it. don;t remember him playing up last season so he cannot have been that bad!

millers4eva spouts rubbish. if you look on the mk dons board he says what a good move it is for him etc. brilliant!

" it is a good move for him- div 2 to championship-lol- are you retarded newman?"

millers4eva: who will you support when your team ceases to exist? If its the blades then you best hope its soon as they wont be premiership past next season.

I see the millers are back while I was away... what's the matter boys, just got rid of the alcopop hangover after staying up and a bit bored? Here's something to ponder: Millers play the same this season as last, 52 points. Minus 10 = 42 points. Oops, relegated. Have a nice summer thinking about that. I'm assuming your club can give the FA assurance you'll make it through next season, of course.
