Owls Announce Pre-Season Games

Wednesday have confirmed the dates and opponents for their pre-season fixture list this summer. UEFA Cup finalists Middlesbrough will be the show piece finale.

The Owls will begin their pre-season with a trip to the USA to play against three Eastern US cities. The club will play Wilmington Hammerheads (Saturday 15th July), USL First Division All-Stars (Wednesday 19th July) and Rochester Raging Rhinos (Saturday 22nd July).

Wednesday will then return to England and travel to Field Mill to play Mansfield Town on Wednesday 26th July, before playing Burton Albion on Monday 31st July.

As is common in pre-season fixtures at the club, Wednesday will face Premiership opposition the Saturday before the start of the Championship season when they take on UEFA Cup finalists Middlesbrough at Hillsborough on Saturday 29th July.

Thought they might've had at least one more at home for the fans who aren't going to travel to the US, but it's going to be interesting to see the results of it all. Maybe they could come to NZ next year and hammer the Knights: everyone round to my house!
