Rovers' Reid Linked With Owls

Rovers' Reid Linked With Owls

Blackburn Rovers' injury-hit midfielder Steven Reid has been linked with a loan move to Wednesday until the end of the season.

Reid has made just one appearance for the Premier League side this season after a string of injuries hampered his blossoming career at Ewood Park.

And Owls boss Alan Irvine is thought to be keen on bringing Reid to S6 on a loan deal until the end of the season to help Wednesday in the battle against relegation.

Irvine has connections at Ewood Park and Reid, who has previously been out on loan with Q.P.R., could arrive in time for Saturday's home clash against Leicester City.

It's thought Wednesday would be paying nothing towards his wages while at the club if a deal goes through.

Reid is out of contract at Blackburn in the summer and is keen to get some first team football action to prove his worth.

I agree irish he would be an excellent acquisition, even if Reid is only 50% fit he as got to be better than what we've got in the middle of the park.

it says in the article that wed won't be paying his wages so we've got nothing to loose and he wants to prove himself so could be a good signing.
