Owls' Investment Deal Update

Potential investors in Wednesday, Club 9 Sports LCC, have issued a statement to keep Owls' fans updated with all the latest news on the investment process at Hillsborough.

It's a positive statement and insists a deal could be struck before the end of the current campaign - regardless of what league Wednesday find themselves in for the next campaign.

It would give boss Alan Irvine plenty of time to build his squad over the summer.

Club 9 Sports LCC managing partner John Prutch was a guest of the club at the Owls' recent fixture against Leicester City, a game which Wednesday won 2-0.

And the statement reads that interest in a deal to input much-needed investment into the club is 'as strong now as it has ever been'.

Good news for Wednesdayites, but we all know not to get carried away just yet, or even until investment is signed, sealed and delivered.

I guess the most positive aspect is that the group are interested in investment whether Wednesday find themselves in the Championship or League 1 next season - hopefully it will be the former.

The statement finished off by saying: 'We look forward to helping the club reclaim its position as one of the elite clubs in all of England.'

The full statement can be read by visiting the official SWFC website at http://www.swfc.co.uk.

Jeez, what a saga, feels like doing a marathon in a deep sea diving suit, will the finish ever arrive?? I've read the statement and it seems very positive which is encouraging. I think it will be a tight game tomorrow, Swansea's defence is tighter than a camels ar5e in a sandstorm and we're not exactly prolific, 0-0 for me!
