Modest Misses Out On Gong
Wednesday's highly-rated youngster Nathan Modest missed out on bagging the Championship Apprentice of the Year award at last night's Football League Awards.
The 18-year-old striker was put forward for the award in the hope that his form would see him follow in the footsteps of Mark Beevers, a previous winner of the accolade.
Cardiff City's Adam Matthews won the award for the Championship, but Modest will be pleased just to have been shortlisted for the prestigious honour.
The awards ceremony took place at London's Grosvenor House last night in front of 900 attendees from clubs, sponsors and the football industry.
Newcastle United's Kevin Nolan took home the bigghest award of the night, the FourFourTwo Championship Player of the Year, with Leeds United's Jermaine Beckford taking the League 1 award and Rochdale's Craig Dawson winning the League 2 honour.
A full list of the winners from the awards ceremony can be found by visiting the FourFourTwo website, clicking here.
