'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nolan Eager For Deepdale Success

Wednesday loanee Eddie Nolan is looking forward to returning to parent club Preston tomorrow night, just three weeks after agreeing a switch to Hillsborough.

The Republic of Ireland international is in the rare position of being able to play against the club that loaned him out after the defender fell out of favour with Lilywhite boss Darren Ferguson.

Preston's loss is Wednesday's gain though and the former Blackburn Rovers man is looking forward to the occasion.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: 'It will be a bit strange if I do, but it's definitely a game we can get something out of and I'd imagine there will be a bit of banter - I'm looking forward to it.'

Nolan will return to Deepdale under the guidance of former North End boss Alan Irvine, who's making the return for the first time since his sacking at the end of last year.

And, although focussed firmly on getting three crucial points to help Wednesday in the battle against relegation, the duo will have an added desire for victory in front of their former admirers in Lancashire.
