Big Night Of Action For Owls

Wednesday may be facing a crucial match at Preston North End in the Championship tonight, but results elsewhere could also influence the Owls' league position.

Make no mistake, Owls boss Alan Irvine will be fully focussed on his task at Deepdale, but he'll also be hoping for other results in the division tonight, and tomorrow, to go our way.

Unless we get beat by three goals or more, we won't find ourselves in the bottom three at the end of the night, with Scunthorpe United not in action until tomorrow night.

And they face a giant task of getting anything from their game at leaders Newcastle United, a side who are almost untouchable on home soil.

Wednesday will be looking for a favour from Nigel Pearson's Leicester City, who travel to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace.

The Owls could also get a favour from Ipswich Town, who travel to Watford tonight.

It's a big night of football and you can get all the results and reaction right here on Vital Sheffield Wednesday.
