'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Varney Out Of Rams Clash

Wednesday's on-loan striker Luke Varney won't be able to feature against parent club Derby County when the two sides meet at Hillsborough on Saturday.

As expected, the terms of the striker's loan deal with the Owls will prevent him featuring against Nigel Clough's men in this weekend's crucial Championship match.

It differs to that of fellow loanee Eddie Nolan, who was allowed to play against parent club Preston North End at Deepdale last night.

Varney also had to sit in the stands when the Rams hosted Wednesday earlier in the season.

The former Crewe and Charlton man has fallen down the pecking order at Pride Park under boss Nigel Clough and is expected to leave Derby on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Shame really. Lets hope Tudgay can take the confidence into the next game against the Rams. 3 points are a must if we are going to make a push to stay in the championship next season. Its no good depending on other teams if you cant win important games like the next two at hillsborough, its down to us (team & fans )
