'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Another Huge Night For Owls

Wednesday may not be in Championship action tonight but all eyes will still be on a couple of huge matches which are set to impact on the relegation battle.

As far as relegation 'six pointers' are concerned, they don't get much bigger than Watford v Crystal Palace.

The Eagles occupy the final relegation spot and need three points to keep in touch with a Hornets side that sit just above them in the league table.

A Watford win is probably the best result as far as we're concerned, leaving Palace adrift at the bottom and five points below us level on games.

It would see Wednesday drop a position in the league table, but in the grand scheme of things a Watford win would be the best result.

That could possible change with Plymouth Argyle giving themselves a fighting chance of survival, and three more points against Barnsley at home tonight could give the Pilgrims a huge boost.

Barnsley were winning 4-1 at Home Park when the match was controversially abandoned due to heavy rainfall earlier in the season and they'll surely be keen to make amends tonight, hopefully.

So although Wednesday have to wait until Saturday, and a trip to QPR, to have their say on the relegation battle, tonight's results are set to have a huge influence.

Everyone reckons its 3 teams - Watford, Palace and Wednesday - scrapping it out for 1 place but I reckon Plymouth are on a recovery AND I haven't ruled out Ipswich from slipping down the table. So it should be 2 from 5 in my book. Horrible feeling it will be a draw tonight at Vicarage Road.
