JJ Set For Derby Start
Wednesday's jet-heeled attacker Jermaine Johnson is all set to get the green light to start the huge Steel City derby clash against Sheffield United on Sunday.
The Jamaican's fitness will come under assessment by Owls boss Alan Irvine during training this week but he's expected to get the nod for the Hillsborough dual.
Johnson returned to action as a striker in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough at the weekend after making a substitute appearance at QPR on his return back from injury.
It's unknown whether he'll start up front or in his regular position on the wing.
But his presence will be a big boost for a Wednesday side that are desperate for victory over the Blades - not only for bragging rights but also for three crucial points in the battle against relegation from the Championship.
Irvine said that: 'We will assess him, but thankfully he doesn't seem to be injured, he's only tight after playing the full 90 minutes.'
Johnson's fitness test could prove even more crucial give the fact that there are also doubts over Leon Clarke's fitness ahead of the clash.
The former Wolves man missed out at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday after picking up an injury in the pre-match warm-up and he'll face a late fitness test of his own ahead of the derby clash.
