Big Night For Wednesday

Wednesday may not be in Championship action again until Saturday at Cardiff City but tonight's fixtures could have a big impact on the relegation battle.

QPR, Watford and Scunthorpe all play their games in hand tonight and could pull themselves away from relegation trouble.

Rangers host Watford and the Loftus Road club would seal their Championship status with victory tonight.

But it would keep the Hornets in the thick of relegation trouble - a Rangers victory could well be the best option for Wednesday - with just two games remaining this term.

Scunthorpe host Reading and Owls fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that the Royals can keep their play-off hopes alive and keep the Iron in the thick of relegation trouble with a win.

It would also give Reading a big boost and mean they can still have a shot at the play-offs, albeit a long one, when they host Watford this weekend.

Victories for QPR and Reading would go down very well tonight, and keep Scunthorpe and Watford in the relegation mix along with the Owls and Palace.

I think Scunny and QPR are safe but it'd be good to keep Watford in there.
