Villa And Baggies Target Owls' Grant

Villa And Baggies Target Owls' Grant

Midlands duo Aston Villa and West Brom have been linked with the servives of Wednesday goalkeeper Lee Grant in the summer.

The former England U21 has been one of just a few players to come away from the Owls' disastrous Championship campaign with any credit thanks to his top-drawer performances between the sticks.

And he could be set for a move away from Hillsborough in the summer - regardless of whether Wednesday manage to retain their Championship status this season.

Premier League side Aston Villa and top flight side to be West Brom have been the latest names linked with the former Derby County stopper.

But they're set to be joined by a number of sides for the signature of the goalkeeper, who will be valued in excess of £2 million by Wednesday.

Birmingham City and Manchester United have also been loosely linked with Grant earlier this season.

When he go, best of luck to him, we would have been down long ago if not for him.

he could've left us last season or even in Jan but he stayed for the fight. If I was Lee Grant I would be happy to link up with o'neill at an ambitious villa

I Have lots of respect for Grant, it's thanks to him we still have a slim chance of staying up. Wish him all the best when he goes, and respect him for signing up to a new deal last year, which should allow us to get a decent amount for him.

The difference is pfl is this ! Most of are crap players are out of contract in the summer & will be off the books, the better one's have a couple of years left so will command a fee. meanwhile at the sty you will be stuck with the same dross under Blackwell & McCabe has already said he ain't splashing the cash. can you see a promotion push next season or a relegation scrap watching long ball football week in week out. P.s if we do go down your cup final will be at Keepmoat stadium til further notice
