Barnsley Announce Owls Friendly

Wednesday will face South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley as part of their pre-season preparations for League One.

The Tykes today announced that Oakwell will host the clash between the rivals, which will take place on Tuesday, July 27, kick-off 7.45pm.

It's the first friendly fixture on home soil that has been announced, and more are set to follow as Alan Irvine looks to prepare his troops in the best possible manner for their League One campaign.

Irvine will also take his squad to Austria for a pre-season camp.

Ticket prices for the match are yet to be announced.
