Chase For Owls Ace Hots Up

Lee Grant's future as a Wednesday player has been plunged further into doubt this weekend with the news that both Wigan Athletic and Burnley are keen on his services.

The Owls number one has been linked with a move away from Hillsborough this summer following Wednesday's relegation to League One.

And the rumours of his possible destination have already started with Lancashire clubs Wigan and Brian Laws' Burnley already being thrown into the hat.

The former England U21 was one of the few shining lights from Wednesday's season to forget last term and will be expected to leave S6 as Premier League and Championship sides chase his services.

Birmingham City have long been linked with the former Derby County man while it was somewhat expected that former Owls boss Laws would be linked with a swoop for the stopper.

It's reported that the Clarets would be ready to part with £1.5 million for Grant, an offer Wednesday could see as too good to turn down.

£1.5 million sounds a bit cheap??
Bognor_Owl
didn't laws value him at £3 million, last time prem clubs were sniffing around him?
swfcjambo
if laws think grant is worth 1.5 million he can **** off!! as if laws hasnt done enough to this club he is now trying to get grant on a cheap deal. seeing grant has signed a new contract there is no way we can let him go cheap. how about laws you try and sign tudgay for 1.5m!

Wilkinson will take 1.5 for him and a bet that money wont get used on players

Put a £3M take it or leave it price tag on him and tell his agent he's available to speak to anybody matching the valuation. If there are as many clubs seriously intrested as has been rumoured we should get what he's worth.

Hes worth 3 million plus and is still young and cud be a future England candidate. If we do sell him we want a sell on clause adding to the deal cos we av messed up so many times in the past and lost money by not doin this Emerson Thome springs to mind.
