Owls Face Bury In Carling Cup

Wednesday will kick-off their Carling Cup campaign with a home tie against League Two side Bury following today's first round draw.

The Shakers are set to visit Hillsborough on Tuesday, August 10 or Wednesday, August 11, just a few days after the start of the Npower Football League season.

The draw took place this morning and was split into a northern and southern section, as well as being seeded.

It means Alan Irvine and his men will fancy their chances of progressing in the competition.
