Transfer Talk Hots Up On Teale

Paper talk on former Derby County man Gary Teale becoming Alan Irvine's fifth summer signing has continued today in the Yorkshire Post.

Former Scotland international Teale was linked with a move to Hillsborough in the national press last week.

And the rumour has refused to blow over this week, with the Yorkshire Post linking the 31-year-old with a summer switch to S6 as Irvine's fifth new recruit.

Teale was allowed to leave Derby at the end of last season following the end of his contract and is currently looking for a new club.

Wednesday have already added former Preston North End midfielder Chris Sedgwick to his squad for the 2010-11 Npower League One campaign, and has jet-heeled winger Jermaine Johnson at his services.

But that hasn't stopped talk of Teale signing for the Owls to bolster Irvine's attacking options.

May be looking at JJ being played as a striker if this goes through!

I was thinking the same. Irvine has used him there quite a few times so he could be wanting to turn him into a striker, hence the need for Teale.

good signing-if his wages are low enough!!! we need competition for the wings!!! potter or miller or any other centre midfielder just doesnt work out wide!!
supersibon
if we are planning on playing jj up front he needs 2 sort out his shooting we need wingers who can cross as last season only had ee

Is he only 31 ? looks about 91 in that picture. He looks like he's lost his false teeth!

talked to a lot of derby fans about teale. those with brains thought he was the best winger they had in the last few years but he can be inconsistent.
Hirsty's Shinpads
