Owls Open With Daggers Visit

Owls Open With Daggers Visit

Wednesday will start their npower League One campaign by hosting newly-promoted Dagenham & Redbridge at Hillsborough.

The Owls will welcome the Daggers for the season opener on Saturday, August 7, kick-off 3pm.

It will be the first time in the club's history that Wednesday have pitted their wits against the Daggers in league competition.

Alan Irvine then takes his men to Colchester United for the Owls' first away trip on Saturday, August 14.

The traditional Boxing Day fixture will see Wednesday make the trip to Tranmere Rovers.

And the Owls will finish their campaign with a home clash against Exeter on May 7.

Yorkshire derby clashes against Huddersfield Town will take place at Hillsborough on Tuesday, November 2, and at the Galpharm Stadium on January 3.

Dagenham AND Redbridge. Seems a bit unfair we have to play two teams at the same time.

The old ones are the best RB. I'm happy with Swindon Town away - day after my birthday. It will be a very messy weekend. Happy days.

My word some mouth watering fixtures there, isn't going to be easy but would expect promotion back to the championship at the first attempt probably passing Utd in the process!! What are the odds on Blackwell becoming 1st managerial casualty of the season in the championship??
