11,000-Up For Owls Support

Wednesdayites have once again proved their loyal support by snapping up 11,000 season tickets for the Owls' forthcoming npower League One campaign.

Alan Irvine's men will be one of, if not the, best supported clubs in the division next season as Wednesday look to make a swift return to the Championship.

As of this morning, 11,015 fans had pledged their support for the 2010-11 campaign with a month yet to go before the start of the season.

And that figure could rise before the Saturday, August 7 kick-off against Dagenham & Redbridge at Hillsborough.

As above, my guess is that they've given about 4,000 junior tickets away!

16288 very disapointed fans then. Mid table under Blackwell. You aren't no where near good enough anymore for top 6. Least, I hope we are building again a team we can be proud of and should do pretty well next term. You're lot could well be going into the decline like we have had.

BFL, 16,228 season tickets sold, not bad I suppose but they say a fool and his money are easily parted!! Wonder how many will be torn up and chucked in the bin by Christmas when you're struggling at the bottom of the league?? Blackwell will be 1st championship manager sacked, I'd say by end of October!

Utd have sold 14322 season tickets to date. There are no official numbers on how many they have given away, but you can bet it's a lot more than 922. If I was from the dark side, I would be very worried about the obvious loss of fans. You can still get a seaon tickt in one of their "best" seats due to so many people not renewing. I give Blackwell 6 games before he gets the push!
