Wednesday Set For Friendly Opener

Wednesday will play their first friendly of the pre-season this afternoon when they face USK Anif in Austria.

The Owls have been in the Austrian mountains for a week-long training camp in preparation for their 2010-11 npower League One campaign.

And all their hard work will be tested with a friendly clash against local side USK Anif today.

Owls boss Alan Irvine, who took his Preston side to the same camp, is set to give all of his available players a run out.

Only Lee Grant, who is back at home recovering from a shoulder injury and could miss the start of the season, won't be available for selection.

It'll be more about the performance and the fitness levels for the Owls' first friendly match since the new summer arrivals - which totals seven so far.

And we'll have the outcome of the match right here on Vital.
