Owls Fans Snap Up Friendly Tickets

Wednesday are set to be backed by a big following at all their pre-season friendly matches this summer - with tickets for Doncaster Rovers and Scunthorpe almost sold out.

Owls fans have already snapped up their full allocation for this Saturday's friendly fixture against Grimsby Town at Blundell Park.

And tickets for South Yorkshire rivals Donny and Scunthorpe United are looking set to follow suit, with tickets limited this morning.

Wednesday have applied for further allocations for both matches and are hoping their request is met, although nothing is definite yet.

Alan Irvine takes his men to Glanford Park to face the Iron on Saturday, July 24 (kick-off 3pm), while Wednesday travel to the Keepmoat Stadium for their final friendly fixture on Saturday, July 31 (kick-off 3pm).

Hopefully this will continue as the season progresses, if the new team are playing well, winning and giving us something to be proud of then a full noisy Hillsborough can be expected whatever division we are in. We are a team with fantastic supporters who are desperate for better times and they may, just may be around the corner, how many other teams would have the support we have after years of misery?.

best fans in the country, the amount of support we give our team, especially away and the performances that the team have produced is next to no-one. i agree not many fans would be like this in situations like ours!

Haartlepool fan- in peace. You were very well supported last time you were in this division and having looked at your club site it appears it will be the same again. Just don't do a Leeds and go around with an attitude and think you can take over small towns causing havoc. Good Luck. Look foward to travelling to Hillsbrough. www.southeastpoolies.co.uk
