Former Owl Jeffers Given Blackpool Trial

Former Owl Jeffers Given Blackpool Trial

Former Wednesday striker Francis Jeffers could make a shock return to the Premier League with Blackpool after being given a trial with Ian Holloway's men.

Reports today are suggesting the Seasiders will give the former Arsenal and Everton man, who left Wednesday at the end of last season, one last chance in the top flight.

It comes after Vital yesterday reported that the 'fox in the box' had been trianing with League One side Huddersfield Town in a bid to keep his fitness levels high over the close season.

It's understood the former England international has been offered deals to play in the MLS and with a club in Dubai for next season.

But the latest offer from Blackpool could tempt the striker with one last opportunity in the Premier League - despite being a flop at Wednesday in the Championship.
