Owls Threatened With Administration

Reports tonight are suggesting that Wednesday have been served with a winding-up petition by the taxman over an unpaid bill.

The bill is understood to be around 500,000 and was reported on BBC Look North tonight, with little more details available at present.

It could mean, at worst, that Wednesday could go into administration unless they pay the bill.

But as we understand it, despite the 'winding-up' and 'administration' terminology, there should be no real cause for concern for Wednesdayites ahead of the new npower League One campaign.

More on this story should follow tomorrow.
