Investment Talk Is Back - Again...

It did seem a bit too long since the last talk about investment, so it only seems right that the Yorkshire Post have announced a 'mystery investor' is interested in Wednesday...

Forgive us for sounding a little cynical, but I'm sure the majority of Wednesdayites now take any talk of investment with a pinch of salt.

That's not to say that today's report is garbage - far from it, it seems like officials from Hillsborough could well be meeting an 'unnamed American party' next week.

The investors' identity is unknown mainly due to their desire to keep the details of any investment into the club out of the media spotlight.

That's until today, of course, and no doubt more digging will be done throughout next week to try and find out their identities.

Wednesday are of course on the lookout for new investment into the club given the current debts, which are believed to be around £25 million.

But serveral 'would be' investors have all come and gone in recent times, the latest being Club 9 Sports, who maintain their interest at a distant level but who don't seem to match the wants and needs of the current Owls board.

Of course, we all hope there is positive news regarding investment in the club sooner rather than later, but you don't need us to tell you not to get carried away just yet.

jesus christ, how long has this investment talk been going on for now? it always baffles me when people pay hundreds of millions to buy a premier league club when you could buy the mighty wednesday for funk all and build it up, damn shame i dont have the millions.

are Wednesday playing a very dangerous game one minute being wound up the next thing investors wanting to buy in risky business if you ask me. Still thats what been a wednesdayite is all about

Hope it gets sorted soon! Although weve made very good signings this year we cant keep signing players for free year in year out & hope to be at least a decent team in the championship.

Think this is just to sweeten us up after the winding up order will beleive it when its signed sealed delivered.

This will never happen- negotiations will go like this- realistic offer from interested parties- directors reject as they believe the club is worth more- interested parties stretch their offer to breaking point and remind board we are a league 1 club- board ignore new offer and wait for offer in region of £50mil-£100mil or til HMRC close the doors on hillsborough for good- which ever comes first- just hope AI and the boys concentrate on the football as our only hope is the lads we have- and I believe they have what it takes for this league- but championship next year (touch wood- or punch the judas) will obviously be a very diferent story!! Anyone heard any rumours who the interested parties are?
