Carbone Returns To Wednesday!

Carbone Returns To Wednesday!

Wednesday legend Benito Carbone will be pulling on the famous blue and white stripes again today - as part of the Owls squad taking part in the Yorkshire Masters.

The Italian forward, a big fans' favourite during his time at Hillsborough, has agreed to play for Wednesday at the tournament, which is being held at Sheffield Arena tonight.

It'll be the first time 'Benny' has pulled on the Wednesday shirt since his departure to Aston Villa, and Wednesdayites will no doubt be keen to see if he still has the skills that wowed Hillsborough during the club's Premier League days.

It's quite a mix in the Wednesday team, with Carbone lining up alongside players including Dean Smith, David Reeves and Efan Ekoku at the tournament.

The 38-year-old is currently weighing up an offer to become player-manager of Italian side Pavia, and is set to deciding in the next ten days.

Wednesdayites can catch him, and the rest of the Wednesday legends in action on Sky Sports 2 and HD2 tonight from 6pm.
