Baggies, Robins Enter Grant Race

West Brom and Bristol City have entered the race to sign Wednesday's in-demand stopper Lee Grant, according to Skysports.com.

The Owls have already accepted an undisclosed offer for Grant from Burnley but the Baggies and Robins are reported to have made contact with Wednesday about the former England U21.

It could mean a three-way bidding war for the 27-year-old, although the Clarets, managed by former Owls boss Brian Laws, are in pole position for his signature.

The interest from Premier League newcomers West Brom and Bristol could have come too late.

It's thought Grant would only be second choice with the Baggies to Scott Carson, but would be first choice at both Turf Moor and Ashton Gate.

Grant is set to depart Hillsborough this week, and for all the latest updates keep checking Vital Wednesday.
