Club 9 Table Fresh Bid For Owls

Club 9 Table Fresh Bid For Owls

American investment company Club 9 Sports have tabled a fresh bid alongside Wednesdayite Dennis Hobson to take over the Owls, according to reports today.

It's thought the new deal has the backing of Wednesday's major creditors, the Co-operative Bank, and a deal from Chigaco-based Club 9 and Hobson has been put on the table for the Owls board to consider.

Reports suggest a total of £3 million would be paid up front, with £2m coming from the pockets of club 9 and £1m coming from Dennis Hobson.

The die-hard Owl and boxing promoted threw his weight behind Club 9's proposals earlier in the summer after an initial bid was rejected.

Between £2m-£5m would then be injected next season - all depending on what division Alan Irvine and his men find themselves in next season.

Club 9's approaches have so-far fallen on deaf ears with the Wednesday board.

But the latest offer is set to test their resolve more than ever, with the backing of the Co-operative Bank and the inclusion of Dennis Hobson, a Wednesdayite, in the bid.

Wednesday are yet to confirm or deny the fresh bid but keep checking Vital Sheffield Wednesday for all the latest updates.

The co-op might be happy but I dont think those that matter, the loan note holders will be. So in that respect it aint going to happen.

I wish that nothing was reported about financial investment unless reporting that a takeover has happened. I have so had enough of hearing about this. Say something when there is something to say, otherwise, we need a goalie and the season starts next week.

Landon, would you consider yourself a drama queen or a touch feisty? hopefully, talk of administration will slowly push out the current board, a lot of people have been put off yank owners by the glazers and the 2 testicles at liverpool, surely they cant all be that bad.....can they?

I think Hobsons ego is more important to him than deal for is to Wednesday. Ive looked at the Club 9 website, I cant see any success stories or reccomendations. There clubs include Denver Nuggets and Charlotte Bob Cats. I know nothing about American Sports but theres no 49 ers or red socks in there.
