Club 9 Table Fresh Bid For Owls
American investment company Club 9 Sports have tabled a fresh bid alongside Wednesdayite Dennis Hobson to take over the Owls, according to reports today.
It's thought the new deal has the backing of Wednesday's major creditors, the Co-operative Bank, and a deal from Chigaco-based Club 9 and Hobson has been put on the table for the Owls board to consider.
Reports suggest a total of £3 million would be paid up front, with £2m coming from the pockets of club 9 and £1m coming from Dennis Hobson.
The die-hard Owl and boxing promoted threw his weight behind Club 9's proposals earlier in the summer after an initial bid was rejected.
Between £2m-£5m would then be injected next season - all depending on what division Alan Irvine and his men find themselves in next season.
Club 9's approaches have so-far fallen on deaf ears with the Wednesday board.
But the latest offer is set to test their resolve more than ever, with the backing of the Co-operative Bank and the inclusion of Dennis Hobson, a Wednesdayite, in the bid.
Wednesday are yet to confirm or deny the fresh bid but keep checking Vital Sheffield Wednesday for all the latest updates.
