Up To 700 Daggers Fans Expected In S6
Up to 700 Dagenham & Redbridge fans are expected in the Leppings Lane end at Hillsborough for the npower League One season opener this weekend.
The Daggers face arguably their biggest ever league match against the Owls on Saturday - and up to 700 Daggers fans are expected to make their first-ever trip to watch their side at Hillsborough.
Daggers fan Ian told Vital: 'Some are saying 700 but I think that may be a bit optimistic. Our average attendance at home last year was just over 2,000. A different world from your support!'
Wednesday will need to get used to lower away support at S6 this season - although Saturday's travelling support from Dagenham refects a large percentage of the club's average home gate.
And they could be positioned in the lower tier of the West Stand - something which will be a more regular occurance this seeason for clubs with relatively small travelling support.
