'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Miller Suffers Injury Setback

Wednesday midfielder Tommy Miller will definitely miss the Owls' League One kick-off against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday through a hamstring injury.

The former Ipswich Town man had featured for Wednesday in pre-season friendly matches but his injury woes in the blue and white stripes are set to continue.

Owls boss Alan Irvine told the official SWFC site: 'Tommy Miller is definitely out, JJ is looking unlikely to make an appearance but we'll find out more tomorrow.

'It's a blow but that's football and we just have to concentrate on the players that are available.'

The news on Jermaine Johnson is another blow to Irvine's preparations but his setback isn't feared to be too serious, with a run-out in next Tuesday's Carling Cup tie against Bury a possibility.

I hope it`s not going to be like last season where he missed quite a few games with injuries, since we let young Macallister go aswell

fecking typical, embargo lifted, weaver signed, just when things where starting to look up. potter and o'connor have proved they cant play together. hopefully coke can get forward from the middle in millers absence.

Liam Palmer and Coke both look decent hopefully we won't use JOC/Potter partnership
nice1emile
I don't think Coke will start because he has had a bit of a twinge recently I were hoping this was going to be the start of Millers career at Wednesday. Hopefully it's not too bad¬

If miller and coke are both injured i'd give palmer a start, cant have potter and o'connor starting, neither gets forward. Now the bills paid off and weaver has signed, the optimism has returned.
DEZZYP
He's annother signing that spends more time in the treatment room than he does on the pitch!
