'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Come On Wednesday!

The new season is just a matter of hours away, and all that's left to say is - COME ON WEDNESDAY!

At last we can put the takeover talk, transfer rumours and general pre-season predictions to one side and concentrate on the football, and an historic opening day clash for the Owls.

Wednesday's quest for promotion straight back to the Championship starts with a first ever game against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Today's visitors were playing in the non-league not so long ago, but they'll be playing against the Owls on a level playing field in their biggest ever league match.

Wednesday will be favourites for the three points going into the match, but can Alan Irvine and his men make the opening day a comfortable three points for the Owls?

It never usually is, and we're anticipating such a thing today, especially against a Daggers side high on confidence following promotion last term, but it'd be nice...for once.

It's the first match of the season so let's get behind Ivine and his troops and be that 12th man at S6 today.

COME ON WEDNESDAY!
