Irvine Reverts To League Eleven

Wednesday boss Alan Irvine has reverted back to the same starting eleven that beat Dag & Red 2-0 for the trip to Colchester United today.

Irvine has made six changes to the side that saw off Bury 1-0 at Hillsborough in midweek to secure progresstion in the League Cup.

Lewis Buxton returns to right-back in place of Jon Otsemobor, while Giles Coke, Chris Sedgwick and James O'Connor all return in midfield in place of Liam Palmer, Daniel Jones and Darren Potter respectively.

Marcus Tudgay shakes off a knock to return to the attack alongside Clinton Morrison, who was a substitute in midweek.

Paul Heffernan and Neil Mellor, who both started in midweek, return to the bench.

Colchester: Cousins, Okuonghae, Reid, Izzet, Bond, Henderson, Perkins, Mooney, Wilson, Wordsworth, Tierney. Substitutes: Pentney, Baldwin, Vincent, Hackney, Odejayi, White, James.

Wednesday: Weaver, Buxton, Purse, Beevers, Spurr, Sedgwick, O'Connor, Coke, Teale, Morrison, Tudgay. Substitutes: O'Donnell, Otsemobor, Jones, Potter, Palmer, Mellor, Heffernan.
