Owls Fans Confident Of League Joy

Wednesdayites are confident that the Owls can bounce back to the Championship at the first attemnpt, according to the results of the latest Vital Wednesday poll.

The poll asked where Wednesday will finish this season, and the majority of Vital users believe an automatic promotion from League One is on the cards this term.

Almost half, 49 per cent to be exact, thought Wednesday will finish top of the table this season, while 26 per cent believe the Owls will finish second.

Another 17 per cent think Alan Irvine will guide his men to the League One play-offs this season.

Just three per cent believe the Owls will finish 'just outside the play-offs', with three per cent thinking we'll finish mid-table, and only two per cent thinking 'the unthinkable'.

We are incouragable optimists!!! Great to see the improvement on Saturday - baffled though as to why big Al plays Potter - he doesen't tackle and only ever passes the ball square or backwards.

to be fair to him Potter was quality on Saturday. I reckon we'll see more from him this season given that Coke and Palmer(and Miller hopefully being available more) means that we've got options in CM not just JOC and Potter on the teamsheet regardless of how they're playing.

Also add to that we're in a lower Division

Bluedog! Did you go to the game on Sat? Potter actually passed it forward which led to the goal!!! Shocked? I couldnt believe my eyes either LoL he had his best game for a long while.

Maybe Potter played rubgy in a previous life so can't get out the habit of not passing it forward. To be fair, I'd rather pass sideways or back at times and keep possession than just aimlessly punting it forward for a striker to fight for it, may as well go and play hoofball at Utd if that's all he did.
