Bumper Carlisle Crowd Expected At S6

Carlisle United are set to take their biggest away following for four years to Hillsborough this weekend for the top-of-the-table clash with the Owls.

The Cumbrians are set to bring an away following of around 2,000 to the West Stand at Hillsborough on Saturday - their biggest travelling army of fans since a game at Nottingham Forest in 2006.

United have already snapped up more than 1600 tickets for the clash and have an initial allocation of 2,400 for the match.

And it could be one of the biggest away followings at Hillsborough this season - with only Huddersfield Town likely to bring more as things stand.

The Blue Army have made a good start to the npower League One season, sitting second behind Wednesday, and can go top this weekend if they pick up a first ever win at S6.

We need to make sure that last week's result was nothing more than a blip and keep the team's confidence rolling. Let's give em a good taste of what Father Ted's crew can do! UTO WTID

Lets get three points boys and continue getting three points, because if the dreaded happens -10 we will still be there or there abouts at the end.Im sick to death of people and the papers saying were going under, lets stop the rot and get behind the team.Come on you owls

Oh dear! Mnager of the month and player of the month. Last time that happened it was the kiss of death. Come on Father Ted, break the cycle and send back 2000 away supporters unhappy. Up the Owls!

Anyone any idea how well Wednesday tickets have been selling?

If wednesday come away with 3 points today it will be the result of the season. All the paper talk with the taxman manager of the month Carlisle playing well.We need the team & fans to put in a first class performance. All demonstrations should be after the game

I'm hearing after todays match that Mellor as gone back to Preston anybody no anything ?
ecco owl
he has tonsilitis
supersibon
where did you find that out supersibon ive been looking all over for why he wasnt playing since i got home
bradford_owl
Irvine said on praise or grumble mellor has been ill the last couple of days with tonsilitis and said theres no truth in the rumour hes gone back to preston.
S71owl
So why on the official site when giving the team news did'nt someone say Morrison in for Mellor, mellor has tonsilitis, its simple and stop all these rumours.
ecco owl
All i can say is it must be the same bloke who announced the subs at Hillsborough this afternoon, that does the pre-match team news on official site.
ecco owl
Yes at the match today he got the subs the wrong way round, he said the player comming off was the one comming on if you get what I mean seems everyone is going to pot at s6
Owlet
It was on the after match interview with irvine, he said he thinks he'll be available for plymouth next weekend.
supersibon
Dont worry chaps Mellor has signed a 1 year contract if you like to call it that.It means he is on loan to us for a year.He is not going anywhere, infact he wants to stay beyond the year. I did not go today (two on the spin now) was we at the races or worst than last week.If were going to have a season bleep lets get it out the way now. What annoys me the quality of team we have in place should walk this league,no disrepect to others but thats a fact,we should expect a draw now and then but to get turned over in your own yard is a big NO NO, (Come lads the crap rubbish stops now)
garrymo
Christ, were we as bad as the reports suggest? Was hoping for a response to Brentford, hopefully AI makes them sweat on the training pitch this week.
