Mellor In For Owls At Plymouth

Striker Neil Mellor has returned to the starting eleven for Wednesday in their npower League One clash against Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.

The on-loan hitman missed last weekend's 1-0 home defeat by Carlisle United through illness but is one of two changes Owls boss Alan Irvine has made to his side for the clash with the Pilgrims.

Midfielder James O'Connor also returns to partner Darren Potter in centre midfield, with winger Gary Teale dropping to the bench.

There is no place in Argyle's starting eleven for former Owl Steve Maclean, who has to settle for a place on the bench.

Wednesday: Weaver, Buxton, Purse, Beevers, Spurr, Sedgwick, O'Connor, Coke, Potter, Tudgay, Mellor. Substitutes: Jameson, Otsemobor, Jones, Teale, Miller, Heffernan, Morrison.

Plymouth: Larrieu, N'Gala, Fletcher, Johnson, Patterson, Wright-Phillips, Arnason, Bhasera, Noone, Timar, Paterson. Substitutes, Chenoweth, Mason, Stephens, Peterlin, Seip, MaClean, Parrett
