Owls' Tudgay In Team Of Week

Wednesday's Marcus Tudgay has been rewarded for his goal and impressive display in the Owls' 2-0 victory at Notts County at the weekend by being included in the League One Team of the Week.

Tudgay netted Wednesday's first goal to put them en-route to their success at Meadow Lane - the Owls' first win in a month in npower League One.

It was the striker's first from open play in the league this season, despite playing in all of Wednesday's league matches so far this term.

And it's seen him be part of the npower League One Team of the Week.

Tudgay played on the right of midfield for the clash with the Magpies, leaving Paul Heffernan and Clinton Morrison in attack, and Owls boss Alan Irvine could well stick with him in that position for future matches following his showing.

Full team:

Stephen Henderson (Yeovil)
Steve Tully (Exeter)
Danny Coles (Bristol Rovers)
Magnus Okuonghae (Colchester)
Nathan Smith (Yeovil)
Marcus Tudgay (Wednesday)
Toumani Diagouraga (Brentford)
Ryan Harley (Exeter)
Damian Scannell (Dag & Red)
Rickie Lambert (Southampton)
Craig Mackail-Smith (Peterborough)

finally tudgay plays in the position in which he should be played. pleased for him because he works hard and deserves more. i would stick with the current forward line cos they will click and start scoring regularly soon

i agree with you Hirsty Shinpads we all keep slagging him off but the end of the day he is not a born out and out striker. It is a shme our managment have taken so long to realise this. But if we can keep him involved get JJ back and get M and M firing we will be there 100 % come May.

When JJ is back id stick him on left instead of Teal. Teal just holds the ball for too long & the opposition seem to know what hel do everytime. Hes not the worst player but i think with JJ you dont know what hel do.

Great to see Tuggers recognised. He is our most athletic player and realy suits facing the goal. Well done Tuggers on accepting the change.

Just what Tudders deserves. Hope he gets more from that position
