Spireites To Boost Owls' JPT Gate

A bumper following from Chesterfield is set to give Wednesday the biggest attendance in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy for the second round of matches on the spin.

The Spireites have sold out their full allocation of tickets for the Leppings Lane upper tier, with around 3,500 Chesterfield fans expected at S6.

A total of around 12,000 tickets have already been snapped up for the tie, despite it being screened live on Sky Sports tomorrow night (kick-off 7.15pm).

It means Wednesday are set to have the biggest attendance of the competition for the second round in succession following the Owls' first round tie against Notts County last time out.

Around 15,000 fans are expected at Hillsborough for the match as Wednesday look to continue their route to a Wembley final date.
