Owls Draw Hartlepool In JP Trophy

Wednesday have been drawn at home against Hartlepool United in the northern area quarter-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The Owls will host their npower League One rivals in the week commencing Monday, November 8 at Hillsborough.

The draw for the next round of the competition took place on this morning's Soccer AM show on Sky Sports.

It gives Alan Irvine's men a good chance to progress to the semi-final of the competition with another game on home soil.

And the Owls will be full of confidence for the clash given the 5-0 thrashing they dished out to 'Pool in their league meeting at Hartlepool earlier this season.

The Owls progressed to the last eight in the northern section thanks to an 8-7 penalty shoot-out success against Chesterfield in midweek.

Hartlepool progressed thanks to a slender 1-0 victory over League Two side Bradford City on Tuesday night.

Full draw:

Northern:

Carlisle v Crewe
Rotherham v Huddersfield
Bury v Accrington Stanley/Stockport
Wednesday v Hartlepool

Southern:

Swindon v Brentford
Plymouth v Exeter
Southend v Charlton
Wycombe v Bristol Rovers

Sorry I didn't mean any harm! I wasn't praising the thugs who inflicted that terrible crime, I wasn't even their, my sincere thought go out to the gut who is still recovering, what I was getting at was that the game has all the ingredients for a superb match. The last thing I would do would praise the thugs who were involved, nor complement them. Sorry for any misuderstanding.
